Annelies Zwaan is a talented, New Zealand based designer and maker, committed to creating modern and beautiful work from reclaimed and natural materials. She works with the firm belief that beauty and function can work in harmony with environmental consciousness and that reclaimed materials need not look like such.
After graduating with 1st class honours in Industrial Design from Victoria University in Wellington, Annelies spent several years traveling and exploring the wider world before finding herself in Christchurch. Believing that the city had immense potential through the rebuild, she started her practice using timber salvaged from red zone houses. Expanding on this she has gone on to incorporate many other salvaged and saved materials finding endless creative possibilities.
Working from a collective workshop, she is continually evolving her practice so keep an eye out from new work! Annelies is also available for commission work and has an expanding portfolio of commercial and interior work so get in touch if you're interested!
